Day One in the Books at EKU Intercollegiate

Eastern Michigan will complete play at the EKU Intercollegiate with one more round on Sunday, Sept. 18.
RICHMOND, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University junior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada- Highland Secondary) leads the Eagles after shooting a 70 and a 71 (141) in his opening two rounds on day one of the EKU Intercollegiate, good enough to be in a four-way tie for 20th-place.
As a team, the Eagles closed out the day finishing in eighth of the 18-teams in the tournament, shooting 571 overall, good enough to be 11 over par after the first two rounds. Eastern Kentucky leads the way shooting a 552 overall.
Eastern Michigan finished round one of the tournament in twelfth after shooting a 291, but climbed four spots after a strong second round showing, shooting a 280.
Helping the Eagles along the way has been sophomore Beau Breault (Howell, Mich.-Hartland) who's tied for 33rd-place shooting a 143, redshirt senior Jared Multer (Batlle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview) is tied for 36th-place shooting 144, senior Joey Kremer (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Senator O'Connor) tied for 44th-place shooting a 145, and senior Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) tied for 66th-place shooting a 149.
