The Eagles finished second among the conference, as Miami was the top team with 14 selections.

The Eagles earning the honor were: sophomore Kevin Bouchard (Whitmore Lake, Mich. - Whitmore Lake), seniors Scott Bradley (Battle Creek, Mich. - Lakeview) and Jeff Elam (Latrobe, Pa. - Greater Latrobe Senior), redshirt junior Willy Fink (Maumee, Ohio - Maumee), redshirt sophomores John Knox (Gloversville, N.Y. - Gloversville) and Mitch Lenneman (River Falls, Wis. - River Falls), junior Quinn Levering (Caledonia, Ohio - River Valley), redshirt freshman Zach Purcilly (Troy, Mich. - Avondale), redshirt sophomore Nick Raymond (Erie, Mich. - Mason), redshirt senior Solomon Simmons (Murrieta, Calif. - Murrieta Valley), seniors Mason Waynes (Kenosha, Wis. - Bradford) and Matthew Williams (Moreno Valley, Calif. - Vista Del Lago), and redshirt senior Keith Williams (Sherman, Ill. - Williamsville).

Beginning with the sprinters and hurdlers, Elam had a fantastic season for the Eagles, qualifying to the NCAA East Regional in the 400m hurdles. Elam cemented himself as one of the best 400m hurdlers in program history after posting a mark of 51.04 at the Drake Relays, which was the fourth best in the EMU record books and one of the top times in the nation. Matthew Williams also had a great season, earning Second Team All-MAC honors by helping the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the 4x400m relay at the MAC Championships with a time of 3:09.91.

Moving to the mid-distance events, the Eagles were well represented by a duo of runners. Bradley,  who primarily ran the 800m, finished the season with four top-10 placements, including a season-best time of 1:50.69 at the Beach Invitational. The senior also took fourth at the MAC Championships in the 800m. Waynes also earned Second Team All-MAC honors by running in EMU's runner-up finish in the 4x400m relay at the conference championships. Throughout the year, Waynes notched career-best times of 48.06 in the 400m and 1:51.14 in the 800m.

The team was paced by the distance group, which had four runners honored. Fink was the team's top runner throughout the year, earning a spot to the NCAA Championships in the 3000m steepelchase after posting a fantastic time of 8:40.60 at the NCAA East Regional, which was a personal-best by nearly seven seconds. The Maumee, Ohio native was also named Most Valuable Performer at the MAC Championships after winning both the 5000m and 3000m steeplechase titles. Knox, who was the only honoree with a perfect 4.0 GPA, regularly ran in the 10000m, finishing fifth at the conference championships with a time of 31:25.23. Finally, Raymond, who was a First Team All-MAC honoree, had a great season for the Green and White, earning a berth to the NCAA East Regional. He managed to win the 10000m MAC title after crossing the finish line in 29:41.07, while also finishing second in the 5000m.

Moving to the field events, the squad also had four throwers honored. Bouchard earned his spot after competing in the hammer throw for EMU, posting a personal-best mark of 53.28 meters/ 174 feet 10-inches at the Gina Relays. Levering competed in both the shot put and the discus for the Eagles, nabbing a career-best mark of 16.96 meters/ 55 feet 7.75-inches in the shot put at the MAC Championships, placing him fifth. His throw was also the eighth-best in EMU history. Like Levering, Purcilly was also a regular in the shot put, where he improved in every meet. He concluded the year with an 11th-place finish at the MAC Championships after launching a personal-best throw of 16.06 meters/ 52 feet 8.25-inches. Finally, Keith Williams concluded his EMU career with an NCAA Regionals berth in the hammer throw. Williams finished second in the hammer at the MAC Championships with a program-record throw of 64.28 meters/ 210 feet 11-inches, earning him Second Team All-MAC honors.

The final Eagle to be honored was Simmons, the team's top decathlete. Simmons, who owns the program record, defended his MAC title in the decathlon with a total of 7604 points, which earned him a spot at the NCAA Championships for the second straight season. The redshirt senior also finished fourth in the decathlon at the Mt SAC Relays, amassing a total of 7537 points.

The Green and White will conclude the 2016 campaign at the NCAA Championships, June 8-11. The Eagles will be represented by Fink in the 3000m steeplechase and Simmons in the decathlon.
