Getting to Know the EMU Gymnastics Freshmen: Emili Dobronics

Before the season begins, learn about each of the three EMU freshmen
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's gymnastics team kicks off their season in just a few weeks with an exhibition against the University of Michigan, Saturday, Dec. 10. Each week prior to the exhibition, a new Eagle will sit down and answer a few questions related to their experience at EMU so far, as well as some fun facts. This week, freshman Emili Dobronics (Orland Park, Ill. - Carl Sandburg) offered her thoughts.
Q: How did you get involved in gymnastics?
A: My parents decided to put me in gymnastics because I would always try to do flips like the big kids.
Q: What has your experience at EMU been like so far?
A: My experience so far at EMU has been great because I love the atmosphere of the team and everyone is so welcoming.
Q: What has been the biggest adjustment within your first few months at EMU?
A: The biggest adjustment within my first few months here would be cooking dinner for myself. My mom cooked dinner every night for me at home so I had to figure out how to cook on my own.
Q: What meet are you most looking forward to this season?
A: I'm really looking forward to the meet at Illinois because a lot of my friends from high school go there and they will be able to come watch.
Q: Favorite event?
A: Floor
Q: Favorite TV show?
A: The Vampire Diaries
Q: Favorite activity outside of gymnastics?
A: Hanging out with my friends
Q: Ideal vacation spot?
A: Punta Cana
Q: Favorite professional sports team?
A: Chicago Blackhawks
Q: Ideal future career?
A: Physician's Assistant
