WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (EMUEagles.com) -- Steady, consistent play up and down the line-up worked to land the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team in third place at the turn of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, shooting a 616 (312-304) on the par 72, 5,962-yard Plantation Course at the Kingsmill Resort. Delaware leads the 16-team event at 608 (302-306) heading into the final round, six strokes ahead of host William & Mary. The Tribe has the individual leader in the clubhouse, as Alessandra Liu had two great rounds of 72-71=143 to stake a four-shot lead on the field.

Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Lois Schoof (Amsterdam, Netherlands-Univ. of Amsterdam), who paired rounds of 74 and 78 to finish the day in a tie for fourth overall at 152. Two strokes back in a tie for 12th is Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth), who showed a four-stroke improvement between rounds, 79-75=154.

Redshirt-junior Karyn Lee Ping (Brampton, Ontario, Canada-St. Augustine Secondary School) is tied for 15th at 156 (80-76) overall, improving four strokes from the morning to shoot 76 in the afternoon. She is one stroke ahead of Kylie Raines (Dublin, Ohio-Dublin Coffman), who is tied for 21st heading into the final round with a 157 (82-75). Rounding out the team's ledger is freshman Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne) in 29th-place with a 159 (79-80).

The Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate is scheduled to finish Tuesday, March 31, with one round teeing off at 9 a.m.
