Men's Track and Field Starts Outdoor Season in North Carolina

Tentative Schedule of Events

—Eastern Michigan University's men's track and field team is ready to kick off the 2015 outdoor track and field campaign after finishing the indoor season second in the Mid-American Conference and 23rd in the nation.  This weekend, the Green and White will head to Raleigh, N.C. to participate in the Raleigh Relays, March 27-28. 
 
The large annual meet, hosted by North Carolina State at Paul Derr Track, will feature a wide variety of East Coast schools, but will also welcome familiar foes to the Eagles such as MAC opponents Akron and Kent State as well as Big Ten competitor Michigan State.  The men are slated to have a full two days ahead of them, with nearly 60 entries listed on the 2015 start list. 
 
Action will kick off Friday at 10 a.m. on the field with the discus throw, while running events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the first section of the 5000m run.  The day is scheduled to be a long one, with the gun for the final section of the 10,000m run going off at 10:23 p.m.  On Saturday, the hammer throw will open up the day at 10 a.m., and the first track event will be the 110m hurdles at 12:05 p.m.  The meet will close with the 4x400m relay at 4:35 p.m.  For complete information on the relays, including live stats and live streaming, please visit www.gopack.com.
