YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The heart-pounding, fast-breaking action of college basketball is back when the 2015 Mid-American Conference Tournament returns to Quicken Loans Arena, March 11-14. Celebrating 16 years of MAC basketball action in Cleveland, Ohio, eight of the 12 schools that make up the conference will send men's and women's teams to "The Q" to battle for the MAC Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Men's and women's opening round tournament games will begin on campus sites Monday, March 9, for seeds No. 5- No. 12.

Tickets are available through the EMU Ticket Office, for all tournament games held at Quicken Loans Arena in which EMU participates, at the following prices: women's basketball: $10 and men's basketball: $34. EMU students can purchase women's tournament tickets for $5 or men's tournament tickets for $10 with a valid student ID. Ticket order reservations may be placed online at EMUTix.com, calling 734.487.2282 or purchased at the EMU table in the main ticket area inside the northeast entrance at Quicken Loans Arena. Pre-ordered tickets will require a valid photo ID for pick-up. Buying tickets for the men's games in advance is the only way to guarantee a spot in the Eastern Michigan fan section.

In addition, fans and alumni are invited to a pre-game gathering at the Huron Point Tavern (828 Huron Rd E, Cleveland, OH 44115), located blocks away from "The Q". Scheduled for Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, should EMU still be playing in the tournament, join fellow EMU alumni, students and fans for this exciting event which marks the first time EMU will have its own home in Cleveland. Enjoy appetizers and special pregame appearances by the EMU band, cheerleaders, athletic department administrators and coaches. The event will get underway 90 minutes prior to the scheduled tipoff of EMU's game.

The 5-12 seeds will play first round games on campus sites with the winners advancing to face each other in the second round at Quicken Loans Arena. The second-round winners will advance to the quarterfinal games to play the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds with those winners advancing to the semifinal games to play the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The seeding is based on conference winning percentage, regardless of division.

Tickets for the first round of the MAC Tournament should EMU host are also on sale now and will remain the same as the regular season pricing. Fans can purchase men's basketball green level premium seats for $12, while youth tickets will cost $7. Single-game white level reserved tickets will be $10 and youth seating will be $5. Additionally, courtside seats will be available for $50 per seat. These tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

For the women's contest, courtside seats will cost just $20, while fans can purchase $10 premium reserved seats and $6 youth tickets in the reserved sections. For general admission seating, customers will pay just $8, while youth fans will cost just $4.

EMU students will still be admitted free with a valid student ID for the opening round matchups thanks to a purchase of tickets by EMU Head Men's Basketball Coach Rob Murphy and EMU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tory Verdi.
