Eastern will make the quick trip down US-23 to square off with the Rockets
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University's women's tennis team is off to a hot 4-0 start in Mid-American Conference matches, and it looks to continue that trend this weekend. The Eagles will travel 49 miles south to the University of Toledo and square off with the Rockets Saturday, April 5, at the UT Varsity Courts. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
Overall, the Green and White owns the series versus the Rockets, leading Toledo, 26-8, in the all-time series. The Eagles have struggled as of late versus UT, falling in seven of their last eight matches when hitting the court versus the Rockets. Last season, EMU fell, 4-3, to Toledo, but the Green and White saw three singles victories over Toledo in Eastern's first contest at the Claudia Wasik Tennis Complex, March 30, 2013.
