YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's women's track and field team will take on an expansive four-day schedule with participation at two different venues between Wednesday, April 23, and Saturday, April 26. The Eagles will send a group to the annual Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, while the rest of the team will remain in-state to take on the field at the Hillsdale Gina Relays.
Three members of the Green and White begin their week's slate today in Des Moines, as the senior trio of Sarah Chauchard (Montpellier, France-University of Montpellier), Pauline Chiariglione (Ajaccio-France-University of Nice) and Kate Wolanin (Oxford, Mich.-Oxford) will begin the first day of the heptathlon. At 12:30 p.m. CT, the three multi-eventers will start their seven-event schedule with the 100m hurdles. They will continue on with the high jump, shot put, and 200m before resuming action Thursday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m., with the long jump, javelin throw, and 800m run.
Live results for the Drake Relays are provided by deltatiming.com for the heptathlon and other events in which the Eagles will compete, including the 100m dash, 3000m steeplechase, pole vault, triple jump, hammer throw, as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
The rest of the team will make the short trip to Hillsdale, Mich., where the Eagles will see their first action beginning Thursday at 6:45 p.m. with the 5000m run. Events will continue through Saturday, April 26 when the meet will conclude with the championship heats of the track events.
