Women's Basketball Sets Dates for 2014 Summer Camps

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team has announced its camp dates for the summer. There will be five camps held this summer at various sites in Southeast Michigan. The Eagle Team Jamboree and High School Elite Skills Camp will be held at the EMU Convocation Center while the two weeks of Junior Eagles Camp and the Middle School Elite Skills Camp will be held at Saline Middle School in Saline, Mich. All camps will be directed by Head Coach Tory Verdi, his staff, and his student-athletes.
The Eagle Team Jamboree will be held on June 27-28 (Friday evening and all day on Saturday) at the EMU Convocation Center and will feature teams from around Michigan and other teams from the Midwest. This camp is open to any and all girls entering 9th-12th grade in 2014. All teams will receive camp T-shirts! The cost per team is $260.
There will be two sessions of Junior Eagles Camp, the first session will be July 14-18 and the second session will be August 11-15, both sessions will be held at Saline Middle School in Saline, Mich. This camp is designed for any and all girls and boys entering 1st-8th grade. Each camper will learn fundamental skills that will give them a great foundation for further basketball development. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt and a camp basketball! The cost per camper is $225.
The Middle School Elite Skills Camp will be held on Saturday, July 19, at Saline Middle School in Saline, Mich. This camp is designed for any and all girls and boys entering 6th-8th grade. This camp will focus on intermediate skills that will help middle school campers prepare for their upcoming basketball season and give them drill and exercise routines that they will be able to use throughout their career. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes a lunch. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt! The cost per camper is $75.
The Eagles Elite Skills camp will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the EMU Convocation Center. This camp is designed for any and all girls entering 9th-12th grade. This camp will emphasize advanced skills that will help high school student-athletes elevate their games to the next level and will give campers a behind-the-scenes look at Coach Verdi's philosophies and strategies of the game. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and includes a lunch. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt! The cost per camper is $75.
