Women's Track and Field Makes Short Jaunt to Ann Arbor

Indoor track and field regular season will conclude with Silverston Invitational
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's women's track and field team will preface its 2014 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship appearance with one final meet for the indoor track and field regular season. The Eagles will make the short trip to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete in the Silverston Invitational Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Silverston Invitational is named in honor of Harold Silverston, a long-time track and field timer at the University of Michigan. The meet will be a non-scoring event, but there will be both an age and qualifying mark standard in order to enter and compete.
Field events will begin at 10:30 a.m., starting with the shot put, while track events are slated for a 12:30 p.m. start time. Live results will be available through mgoblue.com.
