NASHPORT, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- With 36 holes in the books at the 2013 Mid-American Conference Championship, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team sits in a tie with Bowling Green State University for fifth place with a 609 (303-306). Kent State University leads the way after posting a 12-over par 591 (291-300) on the par 72, 7,234 yard Longaberger Golf Club course.
KSU's Taylor Pendrith's play propelled the Golden Flashes to a 10-stroke advantage at 15-over par 591 following 36 holes. KSU is 10 strokes ahead of the Toledo and Ball State who shot identical rounds of 296 and 305 to finish at 25-over par 601. Rounding out the field, EMU (609), BGSU (609), Miami (616), Ohio (626) and Northern Illinois (635).
The third round of the 2013 MAC Men's Golf Championship will get underway at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, May 4, with the final round scheduled for Sunday, May 5, at 8 a.m. For live scoring, visit http://www.golfstat.com
