Women's Basketball Sets Dates for 2013 Summer Camps

Eagles to host four camps at the Convocation Center

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team has announced its camp dates for the summer. There will be four camps held this summer at the Convocation Center, the Eagle Team Jamboree, Junior Eagle Camp, Junior High Skills Camp, and Eagles Elite Skills Camp. All camps will be directed by Head Coach Tory Verdi, his staff, and his student-athletes.
The Eagle Team Jamboree will be held Sunday, June 23, and will feature teams from around Michigan and other teams from the Midwest. This camp is open to any and all girls entering 9th-12th grade in 2013 and will include a lunch. The cost per team is $200.
The Junior Eagle camp will be held Saturday, June 22, and is designed for any and all boys and girls entering 2nd-5th grade. Each camper will learn fundamental skills that will give them a great foundation for further basketball development. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and includes a lunch. The cost per camper is $50.
The Junior High Skills Camp will be held Saturday, June 29, and is designed for any and all girls entering 6th-8th grade. This camp will focus on intermediate skills that will help middle school campers prepare for their upcoming basketball season and give them drill and exercise ideas that they will be able to use throughout their career. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and includes a lunch. The cost per camper is $50.
The Eagles Elite Skills camp will be held Saturday, August 17 and is designed for any and all girls entering 9th-12th grade. This camp will emphasize advanced skills that will help high school student-athletes elevate their games to the next level and will give campers a behind-the-scenes look at Coach Verdi's philosophies and strategies of the game. This camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and includes a lunch. The cost per camper is $50.
