Five Eagles will compete at the Alex Wilson Invitational on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, March 1-2. MAC Most Oustanding Track Performer Grzegorz Kalinowski, sophomore Cameron Bolton, freshman Tyler Ross and MAC MVP Terefe Ejigu will compete in the distance medley relay Friday, March 1, at 8 p.m. To begin day two, March 2, of the invitational at 11 a.m., the triple jump will feature EMU's Donald Scott as he tries to leap his way to the NCAA Championships.
EMU will also send Max Babits to participate in the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier, March 2. The current EMU pole vault record holder will try to improve his impressive mark of 17-feet 5.75-inches in hopes of qualifying for nationals.
"These athletes are in contention for possible NCAA national qualification," mentioned EMU Head Coach John Goodridge. "They all had very good conference efforts so we hope this will springboard them this weekend."
