THREE RIVERS, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -
The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team tied for first at the three team George Dales Invitational Friday evening.

The Eagles tied Hope College for the team title, each scoring 30 points, while host Western Michigan took third after scoring 60.

Eastern sophomore Victoria Voronko took the individual title for the second consecutive year as she turned in a first place time of 21:55.72, almost 15 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Hope.

Behind Voronko, Kayla Pfund, Rachel Quaintance and Morgan Churchwell finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.  Rounding out the top-five scorers for the Eagles was Rebecca Quaintance who took 15th for EMU.

Other Eagle runners that competed at the George Dales were Amy Frauhammer (23rd), Brooke Sciullo (34th), Tiffany Kincaid (37th), Cara Smock (42nd) and Lauren Lunsford (43rd).

The Eagles will have next weekend off before heading to northwest Ohio for the Toledo Bubble Buster hosted by the University of Toledo, Friday, September 21 at 5:50 PM.
