Nieto Qualifies for High Jump Finals at Olympic Games

EMU Hall of Famer is one-of-three Americans to qualify for the high jump finals
LONDON, England (EMUEagles.com) - Former Eastern Michigan University track and field athlete and 2012 Hall of Fame inductee Jamie Nieto qualified for the finals of the high jump competition at the 2012 Olympic Games Sunday, Aug. 5. The EMU alumnus leapt 2.26-meters on his way to becoming one-of-three American athletes to earn a spot in the finals.
The medal round for the high jump is scheduled for 7 p.m. (London Time) which is 2 p.m. locally on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
