YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com)The Eastern Michigan University baseball team will play the last of five games against Big Ten Conference Opponents when it travels down Washtenaw Aevenue to take on the University of Michigan Wednesday, April 18. First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. at the Wilpon Complex. EMU is 2-2 against Big Ten foes this year.

The Eagles (16-19; 8-4 MAC) head into the contest after an emotional walk-off win against Central Michigan University and are in search of a season-series sweep and fourth consecutive victory over a Wolverines (16-21; 3-6 B1G) squad struggling to find a rhythm at the plate.

The Eagles and Wolverines met for the 173rd time, March 28, at Oestrike Stadium, with the Green and White jumping out to a 10-0 lead before cruising to a 12-2 thumping of its cross-town rival. Michigan holds a 112-59-2 advantage in the all-time series, but EMU has won the last three meetings dating back to last season. EMU is 5-4 against its Washtenaw County rival since Head Coach Jay Alexander arrived in 2009.

In that 12-2 victory, the Green and White was backed by steady pitching from Jordan Glover and Collin Taylor, with Taylor earning his first victory of the season. Bo Kinder led the way offensively with a 3-for-5 outing with four runs scored.

Remember to tune in to the FREE broadcast, which will begin roughly 10 minutes prior to first pitch. Greg Steiner, Sean Hostetter and Chris Puzzuoli will have the call.
