Women's T & F to Compete at U-M's Len Paddock May 6-7

The meet serves as a precursor to the MAC Championships
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team will get back on the track this weekend following a long weekend of competition at both the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich. and the world famous Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Eagles will take a cross-county trek to the University of Michigan to take part in the Len Paddock Invitational at Ferry Field this weekend, May 6-7. At last year's Len Paddock, EMU stole the show, picking up four individual wins. ReJeana Marigna ran the best 100-meter time of her career in winning with a time of 11.50. She also ran with Rosie White, Ashlee Abraham and Naomi Andre in the 4x100-meter relay as the quartet captured the win. Courtney Calka also won the 1,500-meter run for the women.
The Invitational will serve as a precursor to the Mid-American Conference Championships the following weekend, May 12-14, in Dekalb, Ill. There, the women will look to cap off a historical 2010-11 season and sweep the conference titles on the year, having captured the indoor championship in Bowling Green, Ohio in February.
