The Niles, Mich. native went 7.0 scoreless innings and struck out seven in her second shutout this weekend to give her six on the year. Richards started the offensive showcase with a single to left field and advanced to second base after her hit ricocheted off the left fielder's glove.
A ground out and a walk put runners first and second for the Eagles, but a double steal by Richards and Stacie Skodinski (South Bend, Ind.-Washington) moved both 60 feet closer to the go-ahead run.
Gerber reached on an error to the shortstop, scoring Richards and advancing Skodinski to third base.

Tolliver hit a one-out double of her own, knocking in Russ from second base and increasing the Green and White's lead to four.

Singles off the bats of Lauren Delapaz (Plymouth, Mich.-Canton) and Skodinski followed by a Gerber double pushed two more runs across for an 11-0 advantage, and a two-run single from Coquillard would end the 13-run inning.
Toledo managed a run in the second inning, but the deficit was far too much to overcome, as the Eagles pulled away with the 13-1 win.
