LOUISVILLE, Ky. (EMUEagles.com)
— The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team concluded action this afternoon at the highly competitive Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.

The Eagles' 347 points put them in 12th place out of 30 teams this afternoon in an event that included several top-notch programs in the country.

Freshman Victoria Voronko (Moscow, Russia-University of Moscow) paced EMU for the third consecutive race, putting together a 17:23.30 time at the 5,000-meter E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park Course. Her efforts also represented the Eagles' lone top-20 finish of the day and put her near the forefront of a large 262-participant field.

Morgan Churchwell (Ada, Mich.-Forest Hills Central) was the next runner to cross the finish line for the Green and White. Her 17:45.98 efforts were good for a 34th place finish, while teammate Rachel Quaintance (White Lake, Mich.-Walled Lake Northern) raced to a 18:22.85 finish for 84th place this afternoon.

Courtney Calka (Livonia, Mich.-Stevenson) and Beverly Elcock (Ft. Wayne, Ind.-Northrop) rounded out the team's five scoring runners, placing 96th (18:26.12) and 132nd (18:42.98), respectively.

Next up for the Eagles will be the Ball State Invitational on Oct. 14 in Muncie, Ind. Race time is set for 4 p.m.
