Erin Grigg picks up MAC honor for the third time in her career
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University senior gymnast Erin Grigg (North Bay, Ontario-Widdifield) was named the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar Athlete of the Week last week, the league office announced late Friday evening, March 19.
It marks the third time in her career that Grigg has been named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Grigg, a 3.98 GPA in exercise science, helped the Eagles finish atop the field at the 2010 Eagle Invitational, March 13, carding scores of 9.700 (uneven parallel bars), 9.675 (floor exercise), and 9.525 (vault). Her 9.700 on the bars was good for third place in the competition. EMU finished first overall at the Eagle Invitational with a team score of 192.17, besting Northern Illinois,
