YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) –
Already six games through the 2010 season, the Eastern Michigan University baseball team is back in action Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2-3, in Little Rock, Ark. for a pair of games against the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at Gary Hogan Field. 

EMU VERSUS UALR:
The Eagles and Trojans will be meeting for the first time ever Tuesday, March 2. EMU goes into the two-game set with a 2-4 mark this season, while UALR enters with a 6-1 mark after winning three out of four games at home against SIU Edwardsville.

 

THE COACHES: EMU Head Coach Jay Alexander enters Tuesday's game with a 188-188 career record in eight seasons, including a 27-39 mark in two seasons at Eastern Michigan. UALR's Scott Norwood enters Tuesday's game with a 311-175 career record in 10 seasons.

 

COCA-COLA CLASSIC RECAP: The Eagles finished the Coca-Cola Classic in Mobile, Ala. with a 1-2 mark, their only win a 10-8 decision over North Florida, Feb. 28. EMU fell to host South Alabama, 11-5, in the opener before dropping an 11-1 decision to No. 27 Wichita State, Feb. 27. In a non-tournament game on Sunday night, Feb. 28, the Eagles saw an 11-run lead evaporate late in the game, as EMU fell, 15-14, in heartbreaking fashion to South Alabama.

 

LOOKING AHEAD: After taking on Arkansas-Little Rock, March 2-3, the Eagles make the trek to Nashville, Tenn. for three games against Belmont, March 5-6, at Shelby Park. It marks the first meeting between the Eagles and Bruins.
