Eagles Fall Short Against Oakland

The Eagles couldn't recover from a pair of big innings by the OU offense.

The loss drops EMU to 3-13 this season, while OU improves to 4-8 with the victory.

The Eagles couldn't recover from a four-run second inning by OU, as the Golden Grizzlies got a three-run homer by Taylor Traub to help put EMU down early. OU tallied five more runs in the top of the fifth to take a commanding 9-2 lead.
The Eagles rallied for three runs on three hits in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't enough, as OU held off EMU's offense to seal the win.
The Eagles make their much anticipated home debut when they host the Michigan State University Spartans Wednesday, March 18, at Oestrike Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
