Men's Golf Signs Jared Dalga for the 2010-11 Campaign

Head Coach Bruce Cunningham signs Grand Rapids native
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University head men's golf coach Bruce Cunningham, in his continual development of one of the top programs in the Mid-American Conference, has signed Jared Dalga (Grand Rapids, Mich.-Forest Hills Central) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2010-11 season.
Dalga was qualified for the 2009 Men's USGA Pub-Links Championship with rounds of 66 and 75, along with being a named to the Super Team as a senior. The Grand Rapids, Mich. native tied for the title at the 2009 Individual Division I State Championship with a 36-hole total of 148 (76-72) before coming up short on the seconnd playoff hole, as his team also captured the team crown. He also turned in rounds of 65 and 70 at the State Junior PGA Championship.
Named to the All-State first team in 2008, Dalga tied for third place at West Michigan Amateur competition, as well as, placing 35th at the Junior PGA Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, he finished third at the Pepsi Little People at Spring Lake Community College in Quincy, Ill.
The Eagles ended the 2009 fall season with a 10th place showing at the Aldila Scenic City Invitational, and are looking forward to improving for the spring season where they return to action March 5-7, 2010, at the annual Ron Smith/USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla.
