YPSILANTI, Mich.—The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team dropped its fifth straight Mid-American Conference tilt, falling 66-51 to the Miami RedHawks here Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Convocation Center.

The Eagles, 3-18 overall and 1-6 in the MAC, were without Head Coach Charles E. Ramsey for a third straight game. Ramsey continued to be sidelined with a benign case of vertigo Associate Head Coach Derrick McDowell assumed the head coaching duties in the meantime. Miami improves to 12-7 and 5-2 in MAC play.
