Dan Kish Selected MAC Swimmer of the Week

Senior helped the Eagles to a 2-0 weekend
CLEVELAND, Ohio- Senior swimmer Dan Kish (Trenton, Mich.-Trenton) was selected the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday, Jan. 27. It is the first time in his career that he has won the weekly award.
Kish helped the Eagles defeat Wayne State University, the No. 1 team in Division II, and Ball State this past weekend. The win over MAC foe BSU marked the 52nd consecutive MAC dual meet win for the Green and White.
Against the Warriors (Jan. 23), Kish won the 200 free (1:41.24) and 500 free (4:34.05) races on the individual side, while helping the 400 medley relay team (3:06.07) to a runner-up finish. In helping the Eagles improve to 2-0 on the MAC ledger by defeating Ball State (Jan. 24), Kish won the 1,000 free (9:40.20), placed third in the 100 free (48.00) while being a member of the fastest 400 free relay team (3:08.89).
Kish will be honored along with seven other seniors as part of Senior Day, Saturday, Jan. 31, when the Eagles host Miami University at Jones Natatorium. The teams are scheduled to hit the water at 1 p.m.
