FRANKLIN, Tenn.– Eastern Michigan University senior Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside) fired a four-under par 67 in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship to sit in a six-way tie for 10th place. The tournament is being held at the par 71, 7,100 yard Vanderbilt Legends Club. As a team, the Eagles notched a 290 in Saturday's second round and are tied with the University of Memphis and Purdue University.

Behind Ross, juniors Marty Jeppesen (Saline, Mich.-Saline) and Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) are tied for 36th with a 146. Sophomore Brade Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) and junior Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) rounded out the EMU lineup with a 148 in a tie for 51st place.

The University of South Carolina shot a 280 in the second round and holds a six shot lead over the University of South Alabama. Southeastern Conference foes Kentucky and host Vanderbilt sit seven and eight shots back, respectively. Ben Fuqua of Kentucky is at nine-under par and leads the individual competition by a stroke.

EMU will began Sunday’s final round at 7:30 a.m. CST on hole No. 10.
