Fayetteville, Ark.-- Sophomore sprinter Clint Allen (Muskegon, Mich.-Orchard View) competed at the 2008 Indoor NCAA Championship meet at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
Allen, the 2008 Mid-American Conference Champion in the 60-meter dash and MAC Most Outstanding Track Performance, qualified for the NCAA meet earlier in the year at the EMU Classic by running an NCAA provisional time of 6.65 seconds. His time ranked him 13th in the nation and a spot at nationals.
In the preliminary round of the 60 dash, he finished fourth in his heat with a time of 6.69 seconds. His time was good for 14th overall, out of 18 competitors.
Allen and the Eagles will open the 2008 outdoor season by sending a handful of distance runners to the Stanford Invitational on April 4-5 while the rest of the squad will be competing against MAC rival Central Michigan University on April 5.
