Seven Eagles landed on the first team, four earned second team distinction

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2026 MAC Outdoor Championships All-MAC teams Thursday, May 21. The list features 11 Eastern Michigan University student-athletes, seven with first team honors and four making the second team.

To qualify for the first team, a student-athlete needed to finish first in at least one event at the 2025 outdoor conference championships. A minimum of one second-place showings was required for the second team.

The women's team earned six first-team nods, all coming from relay events. Both Saraiah Walkes (Manatee County, Fla./The-Out-of-Door-Academy) and Uduak Udosoh (Abak, Nigeria/Ibiaku Clan Community Secondary) were two-time champions as members of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Joining them in the 4x100m to earn the accolade was Ajah Arscott (Plantation, Fla./Taravella), and Jordynn Young (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage), as they claimed victory in 45.33, also improving their No. 10 rank in program history.

Josephine Oloye (Iwaro-Oka, Nigeria/Geomi Secondary School) and Demetria Henderson (Tampa, Fla./Freedom) made up the remainder of the 4x400m championship team, finishing the race in 3:38.21, while Oloye also saw a second-place finish in the 400m with a time of 53.61, ranking 10th in program history.

The sole second-team honoree for the women was Shamoya Clemetson (Naples, Fla./Barron Collier), as she finished as the runner-up in the long jump with a personal best leap of 6.14m (20-10.75), good for sixth-best in program history.

On the men's side, Kian Wiles (Hull, England/St. Mary's College) earned the sole first-team nod for the Eagles with a victory in the 1500m, defending his title and finishing with a time of 3:48.30.

Earning second-team distinction from the men was Jake McEachern (Lloydminster, Alberta/Lloydminster Comprehensive), securing second place in the hammer throw with a 61.98m (203-4) mark. Olawole Olanrewaju (Akoko North-West, Nigeria/Wallas Universal Secondary School), finished the 400m in 46.70, and Kayenn Mabin (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Central) was the runner-up in the 110m hurdles (14.23).
