R.P. White Named MAC Cross Country Runner of the Week

The Hillsdale, Mich. native earns honor for the first time in his career.
CLEVELAND, Ohio- For the first time in his career, Eastern Michigan University senior men's cross country runner R.P. White (Hillsdale, Mich.-Hillsdale) was named the Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday, Oct. 14.
White led the Eagles for the first time in his career, finishing sixth on his way to running 25:57 for the 8,000-meter course, leading the Eagles to a first-place finish amongst Division I schools and second overall.
White and the Eagles return to action Saturday, Oct. 18, for the 2008 Pre-Nationals in Terre Huate, Ind. The men's Blue Race will begin at 12:10 p.m. with the White Race beginning at 12:50 p.m. The Green and White will find out which race they will be seeded in Wednesday, Oct. 15.
