Women's Cross Country Opens 2007 Season Against Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich.-- The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country program opened its 2007 season today at the annual Michigan Open against cross town rivals, the University of Michigan Wolverines.
Junior Kalli Williams lead the way for the Green and White. She finished sixth in the 5,000-meter race, running a time of 18:38.
Melissa Green was the next Eagle across the finish line. She crossed 15 in a time of 19:24. Other harriers running for the Green and White were Lauren Quaintance (21; 20:54), Megan Flewelling (23; 21:55), Anna Delcamp (24; 22:03), Morgan Newman (25; 22:43), Hayden Aherns (26; 23:25) and Nicole Boeving (27; 24:00).
The Eagles return to action next weekend, Sept. 8 at the Detroit Titan Invitational. The race is slated to begin at 11:15 a.m.
