Mike Scott is a defensive assistant and former collegiate linebacker from Tallahassee, Fla.
A three-star recruit out of North Florida Christian High School, he was ranked among the top 100 outside linebackers nationally by ESPN.com and 247Sports, earning four varsity letters under coach Steve Price. Scott began his college career at the University of Akron, where he was a three-year letterwinner and served as team captain in 2021. He transferred to the University of South Dakota for his final season, earning Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) All-Newcomer Team honors in 2022 and finishing among the league’s top 10 in tackles for loss.
Scott graduated from Akron in 2021 with a degree in marketing management. Prior to joining the coaching ranks, he worked in sales at Oracle.
