EMU: 2017-18: Outdoor: Competed in the high jump at six meets during the outdoor season…Finished the campaign with three third-place finishes…Had a season-best jump at the Toledo Invitational, May 3-4, marking a height of 1.62m to win bronze…Indoor: Competed in eight meets for the Eagles, including the MAC Championships, Feb. 23-24, where she cleared a height of 1.62m in the high jump…Took second-place and set her personal-best high jump at the BGSU Tom Wright Classic, Jan. 19, reaching a height of 1.63m…High school: Attended Hastings High School where she earned nine total letters over three sports… Qualified for the state championship in all four years of high school, placing second and third in the high jump in her senior and junior year, respectively…Was conference champion in the high jump and also earned Team MVP honors in senior and junior year…Took third place in the high jump at the New Balance Outdoor National Emerging Elite competition… Broke her school’s high jump record three times…Also participated in cross country and basketball...Personal: Full Name: Emily Jane Westers…Daughter of Rick and Pennie Westers…Has one brother, Jake...Major: Exercise science.
