Meg Cunningham
Hired April 22, 2024 as an assistant coach, Meg Cunningham enters her first season as an Eagle during the 2024-25 season.

A former Niagara University director of basketball operations, Cunningham spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach under Nusseibeh.

With the Griffs, Cunningham assisted in the drastic win total improvement that skyrocketed from nine overall and six conference wins in the 2022-23 season to 17 overall and 11 conference wins in the 2023-24 season, the most wins in both categories since the 2008-09 season.

In her two seasons at Niagara, Cunningham handled a variety of duties within the program as the director of ops, including organizing team travel and a multitude of administrative roles. In the 2022-23 season, she helped guide the Purple Eagles to an 18-13 overall record, the semifinal round of the MAAC Championship and a bid to the WNIT.

Before coming to Western New York, Cunningham worked with Fairleigh Dickinson as an assistant coach from 2019-2021. She helped guide the 2020-21 Knights to a 16-8 overall record, including 12 victories in NEC games for the program's most wins in conference play since the 1992-93 season. Cunningham also coached four Knights who were selected to All-NEC teams. In her first season in Madison, N.J., Cunningham helped guide FDU to the NEC semifinals and earned the Knights their first win in the NEC Tournament since 1992.

Before FDU, Cunningham was an assistant coach at Saint Francis (Pa.) for the 2018-19 season, where she helped lead the Red Flash to the NEC Championship game while serving as an assistant recruiting coordinator.

Cunningham also worked with The Hoop Group from 2017-18 as a skills director and director of girls' events. She planned and coordinated camps of more than 150 players that focused on skill work, player development and preparation for playing at the collegiate level. She was also responsible for marketing on various platforms and helping manage finances.

As a student at West Chester, Cunningham volunteered with the Rams' coaching staff for two seasons, primarily serving as the team's video coordinator. She also played a role in conducting workouts, implementing a strength and conditioning program and serving as a community outreach liaison. In her first season, the Rams went 17-5 in conference play and 21-8 overall to earn an NCAA Division II Tournament berth.

A Hatboro, Pa., native, Cunningham received her bachelor's degree from West Chester in 2017 in nutrition and dietetics.
