Riley Taylor, a four-year EMU volleyball standout, enters her first season as a student assistant for the Eastern Michigan volleyball program in 2020-21.

Taylor played four years (2016-19) for the Eagles and was the primary setter during her junior and senior seasons. The Indianapolis, Ind. native finished her EMU career with 2,545 assists; which ranks eighth in program history. The former setter led the team in service aces during three of her four-year career, ending with 119 career aces to finish 10th in the EMU record book.

During the 2019 season, Riley led the Green and White with 936 assists, and ranked fifth in the Mid-American Conference averaging 9.13 assists per game. She landed in the EMU record books again with her season assist total, which finished seventh for an EMU single season.

In 2018, Taylor helped lead Eastern to its first MAC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. The No. 5 seeded Eagles won in thrilling fashion as EMU posted a 3-2 victory over the No. 2 seeded Miami RedHawks.

Prior to arriving in Ypsilanti, Taylor prepped at Perry Meridian High School where she was a four-year letterwinner and earned All-Conference Indiana Team honors twice.

Taylor is currently working towards her bachelors in secondary education.
