PERSONAL: Full name: Owen Joseph Dubiel (pronounced do-BELL)...Son of Greg and Robin Dubiel...Has two brothers, Walker and Zeke...Information Assurance major...EMU: 2013: Served as the team’s starting punter for the final three games of the season...Averaged 35.2 yards per punt, including a career-long 59-yard punt against Bowling Green (Nov. 23)...Pinned the opposition inside the 20-yard line on three different occasions...2012: Practiced with the team but did not see game action...2011: Practiced with the team but did not see game action...2010: Joined the team as a walk-on punter...Practiced with the team all season...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from East Jackson H.S. in Jackson, Mich. where he played football for Head Coach Cory Hunt...Played defensive end and also served as a punter and place-kicker...Earned four varsity letters in football and basketball...As a senior was named all-conference and honorable mention all-state accolades...Was nominated for an all-star game after earning academic all-conference honors.
