YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University volleyball returns home Friday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. to host Ohio University at Gervin GameAbove Center, looking to build on a dominant MAC-opening sweep with the Bobcats arriving on a three-match winning streak.

Friday's match begins at 4 p.m. at Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti. The match will be televised on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at Live Stats.
ALL-TIME AGAINST OHIO
Eastern Michigan trails Ohio University in the all-time series 20-42-0, a rivalry that dates to Oct. 17, 1980. The Bobcats won the most recent meeting 3-1 Oct. 17, 2025, in Athens, Ohio, with set scores of 15-25, 21-25, 27-25 and 18-25. EMU's last win came in a five-set thriller, Oct. 26, 2024.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles opened MAC play in dominant fashion Tuesday, Sept. 22, sweeping Central Michigan University 3-0 in Mount Pleasant. Nattie Slusher led the attack with 10 kills on a .320 hitting percentage. Haley Trosky posted nine kills on a team-high .467 clip, and AshleeKay Christensen contributed nine kills and a season-high 10 digs. Kaylin Richter set a career high with 16 assists, and Surabhi Srinivasan recorded 15 digs as EMU improved to 7-6 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
NATTIE SLUSHER
First-year outside hitter Nattie Slusher (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) has been one of EMU's most consistent offensive weapons this season. Slusher recorded her seventh double-digit kill match of 2026 against Central Michigan, finishing with 10 kills and a .320 hitting percentage to go along with a block and two digs. Her ability to produce at the net game after game makes her a key figure as the Eagles enter MAC competition.
HALEY TROSKY
First-year outside hitter/opposite Haley Trosky (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Allegheny) turned in one of the most efficient performances of the MAC opener, recording nine kills on just 15 swings for a .467 hitting percentage against Central Michigan. Trosky also added a solo block and finished with 10.0 total points in the sweep. Her efficiency at the net gives the Eagles a dangerous two-pronged attack alongside Slusher.
ASHLEEKAY CHRISTENSEN
Second-year outside hitter AshleeKay Christensen (Carlisle, Iowa/Carlisle) delivered a complete performance in the MAC opener, tallying nine kills on a .409 hitting percentage and a season-high 10 digs against Central Michigan. Christensen's ability to contribute on both sides of the ball gives Eastern Michigan versatility and depth in its attack.
HIGH IN MAC/NAT'L RANKINGS — TEAM
Eastern Michigan ranks 2nd in the MAC in blocks per set at 2.30 and 4th in opponent hitting percentage at .181. That defensive identity will be tested Friday against an Ohio offense that leads the MAC in hitting percentage at .275.

MILESTONES
Fourth-year defensive specialist/outside hitter Surabhi Srinivasan surpassed 810 career digs following the sweep of Central Michigan. Head coach Kevin Foeman earned his 191st career victory with the MAC-opening win. First-year setter Lina Govoni has totaled 299 assists this season, ranking 7th in the MAC at 6.50 per set. Slusher recorded her seventh double-digit kill match of 2026 in the Central Michigan sweep.

Following Friday's home match against Ohio, the Eagles return to MAC action Friday, Oct. 2, at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., at 6 p.m.
