Eastern Michigan University Athletics announced today, Aug. 26, a continued partnership with GameAbove, naming the organization the official apparel patch sponsor of EMU men's and women's golf for the 2026-27 season.

As part of the partnership, the GameAbove logo will appear on EMU Golf apparel throughout the upcoming season. The agreement provides GameAbove with a visible presence alongside two programs that continue to gain national recognition for their competitive success and student-athlete achievement.

"GameAbove has been an extraordinary partner to Eastern Michigan and a driving force behind the continued growth of our golf programs," said EMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee. "We are grateful for their continued investment in our student-athletes and proud to have GameAbove represented on our apparel as we keep EMU Golf at the forefront of the collegiate golf landscape and pursue continued national success."

The partnership will provide GameAbove with visibility throughout the 2026-27 season through EMU Golf competition apparel, photography, digital and social media content, media coverage, conference championships, and national events. The agreement also provides additional support for the continued growth of the Eagles' men's and women's golf programs.

"Driven by a vision to lead, GameAbove focuses its expertise on areas with the greatest potential for innovation and growth," said Keith J. Stone, chairman and founder of GameAbove. "EMU Golf has earned national attention and offers meaningful value for brands seeking an association with performance and student-athlete success. This sponsorship gives GameAbove a visible presence alongside two programs competing at a high level during an important period for collegiate golf."

GameAbove's decision to sponsor the apparel patch reflects the continued growth and national profile of EMU Golf and its two nationally competitive programs.

GameAbove has provided significant support for EMU Golf for more than a decade. In May 2024, Eastern Michigan announced a $6.5 million commitment from GameAbove to support the men's and women's golf programs, bringing GameAbove's total support for EMU Golf to more than $14.5 million. GameAbove also helped make possible the GameAbove Golf Performance Center at Eagle Crest Golf Course, an approximately 13,000-square-foot facility designed to support year-round training, performance analysis, team operations, and recruiting.

EMU women's golf delivered a historic 2026 season, advancing to the NCAA Championship semifinals and finishing tied for third nationally. The Eagles also became the first NCAA Division I program in Michigan to compete in NCAA match play and win a match, defeating No. 4 Texas, 3.5-1.5, in the quarterfinals before falling to No. 1 Stanford in the semifinals.
