Men’s Golf Announces Competitive Slate for 2026-27

Eagles are set to play events in seven different states this season
2026-27 Season Schedule
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Andy Walker, head coach of the Eastern Michigan University men's golf program, announced his team's 2026-27 schedule today, Aug. 19, a slate that will see the Eagles compete in 14 tournaments across seven states and feature meetings against 43 teams that ranked among the top 100 in the final 2026 Scoreboard/Clippd rankings. The Eagles are scheduled for five events in the fall with eight spring events leading into the postseason.
The schedule will see Eastern compete in events that will feature 32 teams that competed in the 2026 NCAA Regional competitions with nine of those teams reaching the 2026 NCAA Championships. All told, the Eagles will take on four teams that finished in the national top 10 in 2026, including No. 2 University of Florida, No. 4 University of Virginia, No. 5 Oklahoma State University, and No. 8 Texas Tech University. The remaining six teams that qualified to the national event also include Arizona State University, Stanford University, Brigham Young University, University of Southern California, University of Louisville, and Purdue University.
The 2026 fall schedule gets underway with the Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate, Sept. 7-8, at Whirlwind Golf Course in Chandler, Ariz., and hosted by USC. Two weeks later, Sept. 21-22, Eastern will return to Chicago Highlands Golf Course in Westchester, Ill., to compete in the Highlands Invitational, hosted by both Wake Forest University and East Tennessee State University.
A pair of events will be held Oct. 5-6 with the Eagles heading to Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, Pa. The team will compete in the Nemacolin Collegiate on the Mystic Rock Course while individuals will play in the Nemacolin Individual on the Shepard's Rock Course. The fall ends Oct. 19-21 at Blackthorn Country Club in Jonesborough, Tenn., with ETSU's Bank of Tennessee Invitational.
Following the winter break, the season resumes with the spring portion of the schedule with a pair of events, Feb. 15-17, in La Quinta, Calif., as both Stanford and the University of California Davis are set to play host to The Prestige. The team will compete on the Norman Course at PGA West while individuals will play at Trilogy Golf Course. The California trip concludes one week later as the Eagles will play in the Wyoming Desert Collegiate, Feb. 22-24, at Classic Club Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
The next three competitions on the schedule will see Eastern head to Florida, starting with the Sam Ryder Collegiate, March 1-2, hosted by Stetson University on the Hills Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. Two weeks later, the Eagles will play host to the Players Collegiate, March 21-22, on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The field of the Players Collegiate will feature 15 teams with the Eagles being joined by the University of North Carolina Charlotte, Florida, Florida A&M University, University of Iowa, University of Kansas, Kansas State University, University of Michigan, North Carolina State University, University of Nebraska, University of New Mexico, University of North Florida, Oklahoma State, San Diego State University, and University of Texas El Paso.
The final Sunshine State event will take place April 4-6 with Iowa's Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The final regular season contests of the year come April 12-13 in Bridgeport, W.Va., where West Virginia University will play host to The Mountaineer. The team event will be played at Dye Club Golf Course with the individual portion played at Bridgeport Country Club.
The postseason gets underway May 3-5 with the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by the MAC and Ball State University. The annual tournament will be played at Talis Park Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The winning team and top individual will earn the conference's automatic berth into the 2027 NCAA Regional tournaments that will be played May 17-19 at six different sites. Those sites include Pfau Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind., Tennessee National in Loudon, Tenn., The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas, Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Ariz., TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla. The top five teams in the final standings at each location will advance to the 2027 NCAA Championships that will once again be hosted by the NCAA and the University of Texas at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

The Eagles are scheduled for five events in the fall with eight spring events leading into the postseason.
