MICHIGAN STATE RECAP, APRIL 4:
EMU made a significant breakthrough on April 4 at Ford Lake, highlighted by the 3V8+ boat's narrow 1.8-second victory over Michigan State—marking EMU's first win against the Spartans in any event since 2018. The Eagles led wire-to-wire in that race, showcasing improved depth and internal competition within the program. Although Michigan State went on to win the remaining three races (1V8+, 2V8+, and 1V4+), EMU's overall performance demonstrated clear progress against a strong opponent.
SEASON SO FAR:
EMU opened its spring slate at home against Michigan State April 4. The fall campaign included a strong showing at the Head of the Charles in Boston, where the Eagles placed 15th in a field of 43 boats. The Knecht Cup serves as an important tune-up as the team builds toward the Mid-American Conference Championship, which EMU will host May 16 in Ypsilanti.
ON THE HORIZON:
