YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference recognized Godslove Nwabude and Mbaye N'Diaye, student-athletes that played on Eastern Michigan University's men's basketball team during the 2025-26 season as Academic All-MAC, as revealed Monday, April 6.
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Nwabude (Anambra State, Nigeria/Mt. Zion Prep (Md.)) was one of Eastern's most productive players, starting 27 games while appearing in 30. He averaged 5.4 points and 5.5 rebounds while contributing 1.6 blocks per game, good for second in the MAC. Nwabude made 65.8% of his field goals, a figure that would have tied for the MAC lead had he produced enough attempts
N'Diaye (Thies, Senegal/SEED Academy) scored a career-high eight points to go with career highs in rebounds (5), assists (2), and minutes (22) against Cleary, Dec. 5. N'Diaye narrowly met the percent of contests played threshold, playing 16 of 31 games while scoring 12 points and adding 10 rebounds for the season
