Men’s Basketball 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule Announced

Eastern opens season on road, Nov. 2, against Coastal Carolina

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team has announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Eastern plays 32 regular-season games, highlighted by two power conference foes, two MAC-SBC Challenge matchups, and 22 MAC contests.
After starting with an exhibition game at Michigan, Oct. 11, EMU opens the season on the road with the MAC-SBC Challenge, Nov. 2, traveling to Coastal Carolina University before traveling to play Big East opponent Xavier University, Nov. 6.
Eastern will begin the season at home with a three-game stand against in-state Great Lakes Christian College, Nov. 11, the University of Detroit Mercy, Nov. 18, and Denver University, Nov. 21.
EMU will head to Cancun, Mexico, Thanksgiving week for two games in the 2026 Cancun Challenge, games include a match versus Kennesaw State University, Nov. 24, and a game between either The College of Charleston or UTEP, Nov. 25.
Eastern closes out the calendar year with a road game against power conference Louisville, Dec. 19, and a home game against Grace Christian, Dec. 21.
The second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge, Feb. 6, rounds out the non-conference slate against an opponent to-be-determined.
