Dague Named MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Kelsea Dague earned another weekly award from the Mid-American Conference today, Feb. 19, as the Eastern Michigan University lacrosse midfielder was selected as the MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced. Dague, who was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this week, garnered her first academic honor from the MAC and just the third weekly academic award in program history.
Dague (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), who sat out the entire 2025 season with an injury, recorded her first goals, assist, and points of the 2026 season as she tallied seven points on six goals and one assist that included two hat tricks and the late game-winner in a come-from-behind victory over Xavier University (Feb. 14), 9-7, to help the Eagles finish the week with a 2-0 record. Dague, who had not scored since the 2024 MAC Tournament (May 2), opened the week with a hat trick in the 14-11 win over Lindenwood University (Feb. 11), marking her first hat trick since April 14, 2024, when she scored four against Central Michigan, before coming back to score another hat trick in the win against Xavier while adding one assist. The only player to score multiple goals in the 9-7 win over Xavier, Dague added one ground ball, one caused turnover, and one draw control in the two games to help the Eagles to a 3-1 record at the time and the best start in program history that included the team's first 3-0 start in home games.
Dague and the Eagles return to action Sunday, Feb. 22, when they travel to Pape Field in Eugene, Ore., to take on the University of Oregon in a 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET) contest. The game will be streamed live on Big Ten Network Plus (B1G+).
