ALL-TIME AGAINST AUSTIN PEAY
Eastern and Austin Peay are meeting for the 15th-17th times in program history. Eastern is 6-8 all-time against the Governors and is searching for its first win against them since the 2020 season, a split season-opening doubleheader that saw the Eagles take game one, 16-8, as Austin Peay won the series, 2-1. The season-opening series in 2020 was the last time the Eagles and Governors met.

ALL-TIME/LAST TIME AGAINST THE ASUN
Eastern is 22-25 all-time when facing the Atlantic Sun Conference. The series against the Governors represents the 47th-49th matchups against an ASUN foe. Eastern last faced the ASUN when it took two-of-three games from Central Arkansas last season, Feb. 22-24. EMU grabbed its first win of the 2025 season with a 9-5 triumph over the Bears, Feb. 22, before winning game two, 14-6, Feb. 23, and dropping the series finale in 10 innings, 10-9, Feb. 24.

LAST TIME OUT: AT VANDERBILT, FEB. 17-18

» Jack Angus made his first appearance as an Eagle and Keegan Knupp scored the first run of his collegiate career.
» Ty Stecko drove in his fourth run of the season and 41st of his Eastern Michigan career.

CARTER WHITE: STABILITY ON THE BUMP
Entering the series finale at Vanderbilt in the second inning, Carter White provided much needed stability to the EMU pitching. After the first five Commodore batters of the inning reached, White struck out the side after walking the first batter he faced. He returned to the mound in the third to retire the side on strikeouts once more. He ended the day with an NCAA Division I career-high six strikeouts. His total is the most from an Eagle in a single game this season. White's six strikeouts are the third most by value from an individual MAC pitcher in a single game this season. Moreover, his seven strikeouts on the season rank third in the conference.

STECKO'S INCREASED DISCIPLINE
Five games into the season, Ty Stecko has worked four walks, ranking second in the MAC by value. The right-handed bat totaled just one walk in his first five games in 2025 as it took him nine games to reach four walks in 2025. Stecko most recently drew one walk at Vanderbilt, Feb. 18.

NICK WEAVER BEHIND THE PLATE
Eastern newcomer Nick Weaver has excelled defensively behind the plate. The junior leads the MAC with three runners caught stealing this season. He threw out two Little Rock Trojans, Feb. 15, after catching one stealing, Feb. 14.

NO HITS AT VANDERBILT
Eastern was held without a hit against Vanderbilt, Feb. 18, marking the first time Eastern was hitless in a game since at least the 1999 season (27 years).
