YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Women's Soccer returns to Scicluna Field Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. to host Miami University in a Mid-American Conference clash, with the first-place Eagles riding a nine-game unbeaten streak into a matchup against a RedHawks side that has not won in four straight.

ON THE AIR: Sunday's match will be streamed on ESPN+. Live statistics will be available at stats.statbroadcast.com.

» Eastern Michigan is 6-1-4 overall and 4-0-1 in MAC play — the program's best conference start since 1999.

» The Eagles have gone unbeaten in nine straight matches, tying the program record set in 2010.

» Eastern Michigan is on a four-game winning streak, its longest since a six-game run in 2013.

» Annalyse Bauer and Rosalie Takacsy are the reigning MAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week (Oct. 6).

» Miami enters 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-3 in the MAC, winless in its last four and scoreless in its last 180 minutes.

» Eastern Michigan holds a 12-17-3 all-time series mark against Miami; the RedHawks won the last meeting, 1-0, Sept. 25, 2025.

PROGRAM-RECORD UNBEATEN RUN: Eastern Michigan's nine-game unbeaten streak ties the program record, last reached during a nine-game run in 2010. The current stretch — which began Thursday, Aug. 27, with a 0-0 draw at No. 3 Michigan State — includes eight wins and one draw and marks the first time in 16 years the Eagles have gone nine straight without a loss.

FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK: Eastern Michigan has won four consecutive matches for the first time since a six-game streak in 2013, and only the eighth time in program history the team has won at least four straight. The run began Sept. 20 with a 3-0 win over Central Michigan and continued with a 2-0 road win at Buffalo, a 1-0 win at Ball State and a 2-1 home victory over Kent State.

FIRST PLACE IN THE MAC: Eastern Michigan sits in sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference with a 4-0-1 league record. The 13 points accumulated through five conference matches represent the program's highest total since 1999. The Eagles are also 4-0 at home this season, their best start at Scicluna Field since 2014.

MAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK — BAUER AND TAKACSY: Freshman midfielder Annalyse Bauer (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 6 after scoring in consecutive matches as a substitute — the game-winner at Ball State and the opening goal against Kent State. Defender Rosalie Takacsy (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors the same week after playing all 90 minutes in three straight matches and recording the assist on the game-winner at Ball State.

HOLLAND LEADS THE MAC IN GOAL: Goalkeeper Ella Holland (Dunwoody, Ga./Dunwoody/Samford) was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week Sept. 29 and leads the conference with a 0.33 goals-against average. Holland holds the school record for consecutive minutes played at 4,140 and has made 48 consecutive starts. She recorded her 21st career shutout in the win at Buffalo and ranks second all-time in EMU career saves.

FRANSEN EARNS MAC HONORS: Defender Christie Fransen (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster/Bowling Green) was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 29 alongside Holland and leads Eastern Michigan with four goals this season. Fransen added an assist in the win over Kent State and scored on a penalty kick in the win at Buffalo.

BENCH PRODUCTION: Eastern Michigan's depth has been a defining feature of its recent run. Substitutes have scored every goal in the Eagles' last two matches — Bauer and Ella Miller combined for three goals off the bench against Ball State and Kent State. Bauer entered as early as the 12th minute in both contests, blurring the line between starter and reserve.

MIAMI'S FORM: Miami University enters Sunday 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-3 in the MAC, having gone winless in four straight (0-1-3) since Sept. 20. The RedHawks have drawn their last three — 1-1 against Ball State, 0-0 against Buffalo and 0-0 at Central Michigan — and have been held scoreless in their last 180 minutes of play. Offensively, Kayla Perfect leads the team with three goals and seven points this season, while Millie Cook and Maris Jennings each have six points.

POPA IN GOAL FOR MIAMI: Goalkeeper Dominique Popa has played every minute for Miami University this season — 1,170 minutes across 13 games — and has recorded five clean sheets, including back-to-back shutouts against Buffalo and Central Michigan. Popa was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week Oct. 6 following those performances and broke the Miami career shutout record earlier this season Aug. 30.

THE SERIES: Eastern Michigan trails the all-time series against Miami 12-17-3. The Eagles are 8-7-1 at home in the series, giving them their best footing in Sunday's matchup at Scicluna Field. Miami won the most recent meeting, 1-0, Sept. 25, 2025, at Bobby Kramig Field in Oxford, Ohio. Eastern Michigan's last series win came Oct. 6, 2024, a 1-0 home shutout.
