Rowing Wraps Up Spring Break at Alabama

Three Eagle crews raced in two kilometer races
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team wrapped up Spring Break with exhibition competition against the University of Alabama Saturday, March 1, on the Black Warrior River.
No official results or times were kept but the Eagles, which have competed against the Crimson Tide 11 of the last 13 years, sent a trio of boats out to compete in five rounds of two-kilometer races. The Eagles embarked on their final season as an affiliate member of the Coastal Athletic Association after the Mid-American Conference announced the addition of rowing, July 19.
Eastern's 1V8+ boat included senior Lily Wilhelm (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville/Butler), who helped the United States win gold at the World University Championships, July 3-5. The lone newcomer to the 1V8+ was standout freshman Brooke Karesh (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville). Complete lineup information is listed below.
