Nehir Oz and Nina LaRosa each earn two event wins

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swim and dive programs fell to Bowling Green State University, Nov. 7. The Falcons outscored the Eagles with 169 points to 131 points, respectively.
How it Happened: Swim
The Eagles won six events in the pool, while the Falcons won eight. Nehir Oz (Istanbul, Turkey/Cevre), earned two event wins, finishing the 1000y freestyle with a time of 10:16.98, along with the 500y freestyle, finishing with a time of 5:02.79.
Also earning two event wins was Nina LaRosa (Bay Village, Ohio/Bay), as she finished the 100y breaststroke in 1:03.55, and the 200y breaststroke with a time of 2:20.88.
Winning the 200y individual medley was Tristen Mina (Santa Clara, Calif./The King's Academy), with a time of 2:08.44. She was joined in the top three by Shayne Patrick (Reno, Nev./TMCC Magnet High School), who finished third with a time of 2:09.31.
The 200y freestyle relay was won by the team of Marlee Christie (Seminole, Fla./Seminole), Emma Littrell (Taylor Mill, Ky./St. Henry District), Abbey Clarke (Caledon, Ont./Robert F. Hall), and Lucy Noble (Flagler Beach, Fla./Flagler Palm Coast), with a time of 1:35.60.
How it Happened: Dive
Bowling Green won both diving events, as Natalia Mayorga took first place in the one-meter and three-meter. Mid-American Conference (MAC) Diver of the Week, Rose Kendrick (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva), earned second place in both events, scoring 262.05 points in the three-meter, and a personal-best 268.35 points in the one-meter.
The next highest scorer for the Eagles in the three-meter was Aisling Gutierrez (New Kent, Va./New Kent), scoring 255.45 points, while the next highest scoring in the one-meter was Megan Lupa (Campden, Ont./West Niagara Secondary), scoring personal-best 249.45 points.
