Eastern Drops Decision at Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team dropped an 82-63 decision at Center Michigan University Tuesday, Jan. 14, inside McGuirk Arena
Da'Sean Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) led Eastern with 15 points while Christian Henry (Chicago, Ill./The Skill Factory/Panola College) scored 14 points, and Jalen Terry (Flint, Mich. Beecher/Oregon/DePaul) netted 13 points in a game that was led by Central Michigan for more than 31 minutes.
How it Happened
Eastern opened the game with a 7-2 spurt but battled through 11 turnovers in the game's first 11:07 as the Chippewas 20-7 run to take the lead.
The Eagles had just two turnovers in the half's final 8:53 as CMU took a 39-33 lead into halftime after a quick 5-0 Chippewa run closed the half.
Central Michigan started the second half off fast, opening up a 51-36 lead, with 14:47 to go.
Eastern battled back with a 10-1 spurt to cut CMU's lead to six before the Chippewas scored the game's next 11 points to take control of the contest.

» Eastern moved to 7-9 overall and 1-3 in the MAC while Central Michigan improved to 7-9 overall and 1-3 in conference action.
» Eastern Michigan was 22-of-54 (40.7%) from the floor and 6-of-24 (25.0%) from three-point range while Central Michigan was 28-of-60 (46.7%) from the field and 5-of-18 (27.8%) from deep.
