Eastern Rowing Announces 2024-25 Schedule

Eagles hosting four events at EMU Rowing Course at Ford Lake

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University Rowing Head Coach Kemp Savage announced the team's 2024-25 schedule Thursday, Sept. 5, which is highlighted by four home competitions at the world-class EMU Rowing Course at Ford Lake.
Eastern will start the fall season at University of Michigan, Sept. 15, at Belleville Lake before going to East Lansing, Mich., for the Michigan State University's Head of the Grand, Oct. 5.
For the fourth-straight season, the Eagles compete in the prestigious Head of the Charles regatta in Boston, Mass., Oct. 19, before concluding fall competition at home with the Ford Lake Shore Race, Oct. 26, Eastern's second home fall event since 2009.
To open the spring, Eastern will head to the University of Alabama, March 1, to row against the Crimson Tide over Spring Break for the 11th time in 13 years.
Next, prior to a three-race homestand, EMU will race against Temple University and St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pa., March 28-29.
The Eagles will host Michigan State (Apr. 5), the Ford Lake Cup (Apr. 26), and the University of Dayton (May 3) at the EMU Rowing Course at Ford Lake.
The Mid-American Conference announced the addition of rowing as a sponsored sport for the 2025-26 academic year, making the 2025 CAA Championships Eastern's final time at the CAA Championships, which will take place May 16-17, in Pennsauken, N.J.
Eastern will be hosting the MAC Championships for rowing for at least the first three seasons of competitions. Learn more about the addition of rowing to the MAC here.
