Go was the 2024 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Head Women's Golf Coach Josh Brewer continues to build his roster for the 2024-25 season with the addition of sophomore Julianna Go (San Juan, Philippines/Saint Jude Catholic School/King) today, Aug. 2.
Go transferred from King University in Bristol, Tenn. At King, she was honored as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year for the 2023-24 season and earned First Team All-Conference Carolinas accolades. She competed in 22 rounds across nine events, maintaining a stroke average of 77.91. Her achievements include a season-low score of 71 at the Bearcat Invitational and her first career win at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, where she posted a 36-hole total of 151. Additionally, she placed eighth at the Conference Carolinas championship with a final round score of 73.
"Julianna brings us valuable depth and experience," Brewer said. "She has competed and won high-level events in the Philippines and she has already tasted success as a collegiate golfer at the Division II level. We expect Juliana's game to blossom during her time in Ypsilanti. This is a very common trend in players like herself who love golf. I want to thank Julianna, her family and coach for believing in what we are building at Eastern."
She joins senior Amaya Melendez (Ann Arbor, Mich./ Pioneer), sophomores Savannah De Bock (Ecaussinnes-d'enghien, Belgium/Institut de l'Enfant-Jésus - Lycée/Georgia) and Maddysun Beeching (Camberley, Surrey, England/Millfield School), and freshman Mariana Vega (Barranquilla, Colombia/ Colegio Karl C. Parrish), who previously announced their commitments to EMU.
