YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Cory Taylor racked up three hits as the Eastern Michigan University baseball team fell to Bowling Green State University, 7-1, Saturday, May 11, at Oestrike Stadium. With the win and a NIU triumph over Western Michigan, the Falcons secured at least a share of the Mid-American Conference Regular Season title.
How it Happened
The Eagles were trailing 1-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board. Taylor (Shelbyville, Ind./Shelbyville) came across to score the lone run of the inning for Eastern Michigan.
Bowling Green then scored six times over the remaining five innings to break the tie and grab the 7-1 win.
Game Notes
» Niko Kreuzer (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis Desales) started and went 3.2 innings allowing only one earned run. He struck out five which is a new career high for the freshman.
» Taylor tallied three hits for his fourth time this season.
» Nathan Ball (Bay City, Mich./Bay City John Glenn) knocked in a run in the fourth. It was his eighth RBI of the 2024 campaign.
